Mackenzie is a Venture Partner at TBV, where he focuses on supporting early-stage startups in Web3 and blockchain. He is deeply involved in shaping investment strategies and providing mentorship to founders as they scale their companies. His expertise lies in navigating the complexities of emerging markets, ensuring that startups are well-positioned for growth and success.

Before joining TBV, Mackenzie co-founded Datature, a company that specializes in machine learning solutions. Under his leadership, Datature became a trusted name among leading companies and research institutes globally, providing cutting-edge AI capabilities for applications ranging from real-time computer vision to advanced performance analytics. The company’s achievements include winning the Rolls-Royce Data Challenge and securing sector wins at SLINGSHOT 2019.

Mackenzie also served as an Investment Associate at Blockchain Founders Fund, where he played a crucial role in identifying and supporting blockchain projects with real-world applications. He worked closely with entrepreneurs, helping them with fundraising, go-to-market strategies, and overall business development.

In addition to his work at Datature and Blockchain Founders Fund, Mackenzie was an Associate at Antler, a global early-stage VC firm. There, he scouted high-potential founders and helped them take their ideas from concept to execution. He was also part of the On Deck Catalyst Scout program, where he scouted for early-stage founders and collaborated with top-tier investors from firms like Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures.

Mackenzie began his career at UOB, where he held various roles, including Senior Personal Banker. He earned multiple accolades for his performance, including the Q3 2019 Achiever's Club – Gold. His background in both corporate finance and entrepreneurship gives him a well-rounded perspective on venture building, making him a valuable asset to TBV’s mission of supporting innovation in the Web3 space.
